Apps and Cloud
We design and develop the connected software layer around medical devices, including mobile applications, BLE communication workflows, provisioning, firmware update paths, and device management experiences.
Our work focuses on making the interaction between users, clinicians, and devices reliable, understandable, and aligned with the realities of connected medical products.
What We Do
We design and build the software layer around connected medical devices - the part that handles communication with the device, guides users through setup and updates, exposes device state and controls, and keeps the product manageable over time.
The work starts by understanding the device: how the firmware behaves, what the communication protocol looks like, what the user needs to do and understand, and what edge cases - failed connections, interrupted updates, partial states - need to be handled gracefully. From there, we define the software architecture and implement the workflows that make the system function reliably in practice, not only in ideal conditions.

Connected medical software has a specific kind of complexity that goes beyond typical app development. Provisioning flows need to be secure and recoverable. Update paths need failure handling that protects the device even when the connection drops mid-transfer. Communication state machines need to account for the real behavior of wireless links, not just the happy path. Device state needs to be communicated clearly enough that users can act correctly and safely. We build these behaviors as first-class parts of the software, not as edge cases to patch later.
We work across different product types - patient-facing applications, clinician tools, engineering and provisioning workflows - and across different platforms depending on what the product requires. Because our team also works on embedded firmware, the app and device sides of the integration are designed in coordination rather than in isolation.
